Upcoming Event: ITIL, Higher Ed, and the Ecomomy
Date: Wednesday, Jan 27, 1-2 PM ET
Join the co-author of "The CMDB Imperative" and leading-edge implementer Carlos Casanova as he brings this book to life in a one-hour webinar. Learn the tips and tricks you need to simplify and tackle this daunting task. Begin to understand how Asset Management differs from Configuration Management and the ownership structure needed for each.
Welcome to the Higher Education Special Interest Group!
The Higher Ed SIG will provide opportunities to share with – and learn from – colleagues at other universities that are implementing IT Service Management using ITIL (and other related best practices).
While implementing ITIL processes makes sense for any IT shop, academic environments pose a unique set of opportunities and challenges. By listening, learning and sharing, you and others will benefit from participation regardless of your organization’s current stage, whether it is in the discovery process, mid-process implementation or with well-established processes.
Here are some of the things we currently offer:
-
- Events: Live webcast events and presentations (see archived events)
- LinkedIn: Discussion groups and networking
- Blog: University ITSM Blog
- Other Universities: On-line reference showing some examples of what other universities are doing with IT Service Management
Sign up to be a member by contacting us via email.
We expect this SIG will foster communication and collaboration amongst IT service management colleagues across many universities and aid the improvement of business and IT processes through the sharing of knowledge and experience.
